Located within an hour of Anchorage, Alaska's biggest ski area sits at a surprisingly low elevation just under 4,000 ft but with 700 in of annual snowfall, we're not complaining. While there's not a ton of beginner runs, there is enough variety to keep intermediates and above in heaven.
