Great place because of proximity to 3 separate areas, always good and usually fresh snow at one of them, Banff town is a plus

If you are going to Banff...make sure you pay a little extra and stay at the world renown "Banff Springs Hotel" or the "Chateau Lake Louise". It is worth paying a couple of hundred dollars more to live like a king or queen!

There are three ski resorts within 30 mins of Banff, and it is located in a national park, so it also has very beautiful scenery.

These comments are directed to Lake Louise in the Banff area. This mountain has the most stunning scenery of any mountain that i have ever skiied at. A close second is Heavenly

Banff is located in a national park and remains natural and pristine. Unlike Vail and Park City there is no glut of development and commerce. It is the most beautiful place in North America. Another plus, although less so than in the past, is the value. The skiing is varied and the lifts have gotten better every year.
