Perisher is a great ski resort with varied terrain and lots of it. Given its vastness, it's easy to avoid lineups once the morning rush has spread out. Plenty of options for lodging, though a little on the pricier side. Only fault is it's a bit of a distance from the nearest major city, Canberra.... Moreadvanced snowboarder

Perisher is by far the best winter destination is Australia. It has the biggest skiable area and largest selection of terrain available in the country. Fun times were had, on and off the snow. Staff were pleasant, weather was indifferent but that's just how it goes! Wish we could have stayed longer, the mountain has plenty to offer everyone. ... Morebeginner snowboarder

Perisher is a great resort if you are based in Australia and don't have the time to fly overseas. When the snow is coming, you can make a quick getaway after work on Friday and be there for first tracks on Saturday morning.
