Overall
The closest mountain to Calgary, Nakiska is conveniently located just 45 minutes drive away and is a favorite amongst locals. Nakiska isn't quite like the nearby Banff resorts; it was designed and built to host the racing events during the 1988 Olympics. The runs here are fantastic for cruising and usually well maintained. Natural snowfall is low but luckily the significant snowmaking here makes up for it.
