If you want to ride park, Bear Mountain is the place. There's not a lot of steep terrain but the entire mountain is a terrain park and is snowboarder-heavy. It was even ranked number 2 in Transworld Snowboarding 2017 Park Poll. Nearby Big Bear Lake and Big Bear City offer an array of lodging, restaurants, and nightlife. Best of all, you can ski nearby Snow Summit on the same pass and you'd be hoping were born in winter because they give you a free lift ticket on your birthday!

Good if there's snow, pray that the snow doesn't. Come on a weekend or you and all of Los Angeles are going to be there. watch out for people who don't know how to ski or ride, they usually congregate on the main run

Beaver mountain is a great resort tucked up in logan canyon. Its smaller than most resorts, but still has many quality runs. It can accomodate skiiers from all ranges of ability, beginner, all the way up to expert riders. Never a dull moment at beaver mountain and the scenery is amazing. Powder runs, back country, and terrain park are all... More

This resort gets extremely congested on weekends since it is the only resort near Southern California. I've a number of skiers had their skis run over by other skiers. Best time to go is on a weekday. Tuesday through Thursday would be ideal. Last time I went, snow conditions were mash potatoes.

Awesome mountain, awesome employees. Mountain was great last year with a lot of snow coverage. Crowds were a little big but getting there early was always better than being stuck on the road behind a thousand cars. Hope they limit the number this year.

This mountain is awesome. Although it can get crowded at times the mountain is basically home to me as I ski and board during the snow season. The employees are awesome and seem to really care about everyone's experience and they are always willing to help with techniques assistance with skiing or boarding!!! Great times always!!

Growing up in SoCal, this was always a favorite. Great events year round. Fun for ski's, boarders, and in the summer, cyclists. It's still one of my go to's when I'm in California.
