Sitting on Lake Tahoe, Homewood has some of the most incredible views and is often the least crowded resort in the Tahoe region. The slow lifts and smaller crowds see better turns even days after a storm. With just one hotel here, it's best to stay in a vacation rental or find accommodation in Tahoe City or Truckee where there are more options.

Amazing resort! Homewood had amazing snow when I was there in early April 2019, but it was a little slushy. The lift tickets are extremely cheap considering how big and uncrowded the resort is. There are amazing places to ski through the forest. The terrain parks are very good. It's not the best place for beginners, especially if you go to the... More

A nice change of pace from the big resorts and the crowds. Don't let the size fool you though, it's got something for everyone and some fantastic tree skiing. And most importantly, the views. Nothing quite like having a drink mid-mountain with that big lake staring you in the face. One of the best values in Tahoe.... More

Homewood is a hidden gem by all definitions. When it snow it DUMPS and relatively empty. Not the most advanced area in the region but very under-rated. There will be stop and go traffic on the way to Squaw/Alpine but can find empty parking lots in Homewood. Find Ellis chair, go left for a bit, and then drop down into the trees to find freshies ALL... More

Homewood is lake Tahoes diamond in the Rough, a big resort that offers some really good tree skiing/riding, love that homewood is not usually as crowded and has really fun terrain to ride in. The staff is friendly and the only thing that would make this place better would be if they expanded their parking lot and upgraded the speed of their chairs.... More
