As the birthplace of big mnt skiing Chamonix will never disappoint the expert skier. You will need a guide at this resort to really access the goods. Head down the Vallee Blanche for an amazing day out, especially after new snow. Good town but not great for party.

You can always find good snow. Lots of different slopes on different aspekt for inbound skiing. Insanely varierety in backcountry accessible from the lifts, especially in Grand Monets and Aguille Du Midi. The Vallé Blanche is adventure if you want a really long run. For mountaineering and skiers willing to ski/scaramble there is endless... More

Amazing skiing. So many mountains to choose from. It's the Alps! What more could you ask for? And you can take the tram into Italy if you need a break from the slopes.

Awesome place. Steep mountains and beautiful back bowls! The snow is great until late spring. Great and cheap food. Plenty options for skiing directly from / to your door step. Go for it!!

This area of France is legendary for skiing. It is easy to get to from Western Switzerland as well. The tree line is considerably lower than in Colorado, so there is a lot of wide open white space.

Chamonix is an absolute stunner - I went for the first time last winter and it was the highlight of my year! The snow was steep and deep, and everybody was having the time of their lives. The food, nightlife and the view from the peaks are all incredible.
