Great little resort if you want to get away from the crowd at Niseko. Just a short drive away. Only one good lift and limited facilities but great for some powder skiing! Definitely recommend to come out here if you're getting bored at Niseko. Just beware it's on a different lift pass.... Moreexpert skier

Best back country in Japan. Easy gate access from the top lift, endless secret tree runs, bottomless pow, and no lift lines. The hidden gem among the swarms heading to the more popular resorts in Niseko. Hopefully it stays a hidden gem for a while longer!... Moreintermediate snowboarder

Moiwa Is a great powder stashe often frequently by Locals, and has anyone who travels knows, the good stuff is where the locals are! Minimal lift lines, fresh powder lines and soft groomers abound!... Moreadvanced snowboarder

I loved the back bowels and the skiouts were beautiful. It was refreshingly quiet compared to its neighbor. The snowdrift after a fall mean there are fresh lines to be had late into the day.... Moreexpert snowboarder

Moiwa is a small little resort with a LOT of secrets. First off, it is basically the cheapest place to stay in the niseko area that is on a resort. Second, it has amazing sidecountry! Third, it is actually really cheap to ski there, and you can even access the Niseko United area by trails.

Moiwa Resort is a great place to go to get away from the crowds! The lodging options there are much more affordable than in Niseko town, and you can still access Niseko-Annupuri easily with shuttles (many free ones too!). The backcountry and sidecountry there is awesome, and you can still experience the awesome Hokkaido powder, without the crowds.... Moreintermediate skier
