Cannon is a legend in Eastern skiing, home of the first aerial tram in North America, and the biggest vertical in New Hampshire. Cannon Mountain is 4,180 ft, the highest skiing peak in the state, offering dramatic views of the White Mountains - in fact, Cannon is located within Franconia Notch State Park and White Mountain National Forest. Cannon Mountain is quintessential New England skiing at its best with many narrow, winding trails, and lots of glades and off-piste terrain to explore. It's my favorite place to go on a powder day. Grew up skiing and riding here. Some of the best terrain in the northeast. When they get heavy snow, it's an awesome place to be. The front 5 are awesome and the recent addition of mittersill is great. One of my favorites.
