Angel Fire is a small mountain with mostly beginner and intermediate terrain and the best terrain parks in New Mexico, perfect for anyone looking for a quick ski fix. There's also extensive snowmaking and some of the most beautiful views in New Mexico. Just note, the limited facilities, dining, and nightlife options here mean there's little to do after the mountain closes.

I like it, but I've only been twice! Once was in the summer of 1987 and more recently on my birthday in 2012. The snow was incredible, but the wind closed Chili Express. A shuttle was the way up the hill on that power day.... More

It was great going with family many years ago, it was my 2nd ski resort and I recall it being a blast! I wish it wasn't so far out in NM but I can't think of a better place to go if you're in the state.... More

Angel Fire Resort is the perfect mountain for teaching your kids. The long green from the top allows for a lot of instruction without many steep areas. Try to hit it on an off weekend and you will have the mountain to yourself. There are no bowls or real steeps, but there is a nice glade on the backside. The view of Wheeler Peak is great on those... This is my home mountain. It’s the perfect place for a beginner to feel comfortable or to teach the littles to ski. If you avoid Christmas and Spring Break, you will have the mountain to yourself. There’s not much to the town, which is actually its charm. There’s no pressure for a dinner out or night at the bar. It’s all about hanging out in your... More

What an awesome mom and pop area, what you won't find there is stuck up snobs in Bogner outfits, what you will find is a carhart clad die hards who are having more fun than you. Long runs off the front side with a high speed detachable Poma installed by yours truly to take you back to the top in record time..Fill the boda bags and go hit a gem.... More

I had an overall good time here. The locals were friendly and majority of employees were helpful. The layout of the mountain is fun and caters more towards the intermediate rider with some steeper stuff if you get into the trees. When there is enough snow look for the bike trails in the glades, that's the money and super FUN to ride. ... More
