The lack of crowds and great value for money given the 1,402 ac of terrain here makes White Pass a worthwhile 2.5-3 hour journey from Seattle. When the inbounds terrain gets tracked out there are tons of hike-to spots to find fresh powder and plenty of fun terrain on the backside. Enjoy the stunning views of Mt Rainier as you ski or ride down the mountain and once you're done for the day, be sure to check out The Blue Spruce Saloon, it's a favorite among the locals.

White Pass Washington has been my go to ski resort for the past couple years. For the most part it’s got pretty good snow conditions, with a few awesome powder days dotted throughout the season. Holiday weekends can get a bit crowded, but for the most part the lift lines stay pretty short, leaving you with less waiting time and more skiing time. It... More

Great, not too crowded, lots of trails, mostly always open. Big cafeteria with lots of options but the chilli is the best. Beautiful scenic roads lead to and from the resort.... More

I have grown up at WP and love the place, unfortunately it was become really crowded at times and competitive to just find a parking spot. A lot of people have started driving down from the Seattle area and some of the friendly vibes/ small town feelings are beginning to fade. It is still a great place but if you are looking for the ski hill... More

I have skied WP my entire life and will let you know that about two years ago I think the entire city of Seattle show up. If you are looking for a place that isn't crowded you will need a time machine. I have seen conflicts over parking spots and people turned away. It is a great place but it is just as crowded as Crystal and Stevens.... More

Easily my favorite resort. White Pass is a hidden gem. About an hour away from Yakima, it offers an enormous mountain's worth of snow for a price that's less than other resorts that are close by. The high camp Lodge is the perfect place to have a snack and relax, with a gorgeous view of Mt. Rainier. Phenomenal mountain and will most definitely... More

I have been to white pass all through out my childhood and come back every year. It's not too crowded and their lodging is affordable. In fact they have different types of lodging to accommodate whatever you'd like to spend. For example, when my dad brought my sister, my brother and me down we just got one flat that had a bathroom, a bedroom and a... More

This was the first place I came to learn snowboarding and the place where I teach friends and family. Not only was my first experience amazing but I learned with such forgiving snow.

My favorite place to ride in Washington. Short lines, epic terrain, and an original style. This place is often overlooked, but, has everything you can ask for in a mountain.

White Pass is the by far my favorite place to go snowboarding. It's not on the beaten path out of Seattle, so on average there are less crowds to battle, it's one of the cheaper places to get a lift ticket ($62 the last I checked), and from my home base of Olympia it's a 2 hour drive South on I5 and a little bit East (important, since you avoid...
